Starting Saturday, April 1, 2017, parents and guardians of CPS students are invited to complete a survey about their child's school. The survey takes about 10-15 minutes to complete and is available in several languages. It is completely anonymous. The survey will be available until April 30th. Parents can pick up a paper copy of the survey at their school, or use the links below to access the survey online.

Maria Saucedo Scholastic Academy is a Level 1+ (the highest level possible in Chicago Public Schools) located in Little Village. We have over 1200 Pre-K to 8th students, most of whom are low-income. Our school is a collaborative effort among parents, teachers, community members, students, and administration, all committed to providing a quality education for our students that celebrates and develops the students' diverse abilities.
Our programs include bilingual education, an award-winning band program, swimming, algebra for 7th and 8th graders, accelerated reading, art, computer labs and afterschool programs which include academic assistance, sports, technology, exercise, and arts programs. We use positive behavior enforcement, recognizing students with positive behavior monthly Beginning this year we will be a Computer Science for All school, with all students receiving instruction in Computer Science, ranging from basic coding to app creation to computational thinking in math and science. Our computer student ratio is 1:1 with iPad carts for K-1.
Maria Saucedo Scholastic Academy- students, staff, parents, and community members will provide a comprehensive instructional program that develops student's diverse abilities. These partnerships will bring our community of learners into a student-centered education. Our environment will foster mutually respectful relationships that support students' intellectual, ethical, social, emotional, physical and technological growth. Professional development, parental support, and varied learning opportunities will be provided; our efforts are based on data that reflects the needs of all stakeholders.
Maria Saucedo Scholastic Academy's vision is to create a positive, nurturing, learning environment in which all students are motivated to be independent, analytical and active problem solvers in all aspects of their lives.
