Hubbard Street Dance Hubbard Street Dance will be in each K-4th bilingual classroom for 10 weeks during a year long residency. World-class teaching artists will work with students to explore the elements of dance and choreography. During each residency, teaching artists will collaborate with classroom teachers to build upon literacy skills being developed in the classroom, such as understanding interpretation, compare/contrast, and problem solving, and then teach students how to translate these skills through movement in order to create a dance collaboratively as a class. Students will have the chance present their dances for parents and other students at the end of each residency. We currently have four classrooms participating in this program.
